    Ortognatik Cerrahi Nedir?

    Ortognatik Cerrahi, erişkin insanlarda, alt çene ve üst çenenin birbirine normal pozisyonda konumlanmadığı veya dişlerin ağız kapalı pozisyondayken birbirleri ile oturmadığı durumlarda, çene ve diş pozisyonlarının olması gerektiği pozisyona getirilmesi için yapılan cerrahi işleme denir.

    Tedaviye başlamadan önce hastanın kafa grafileri (Panoramik,sefalometrik, üç boyutlu grafiler vs. ) çekilerek incelenir.  Daha sonra detaylı bir konsültasyon ( çene cerrahisi uzmanı, ortodonti uzmanı ve diş hekimi tarafından ) yapılır.  Tedavi öncesi, hastanın tedavisi hakkında kafasına takılan tüm soruları hekimleri ile paylaşması gereklidir.

    Tedavi hakkında detaylı olarak bilgilendirilen hasta, hekimleri (Çene cerrahisi uzmanı, ortodonti uzmanı ve diş hekimi ) ile tedavi planını takip eder.

    Ortognatik Cerrahi Aşamaları Nelerdir?

    • Planlama (radyolojik, modeller vs. ile)
    • Ortodontik tedavi ile dişlerin düzeltilmesi(1-2 yıl),
    • Cerrahi planlama,
    • Düzeltici cerrahi uygulama( iyileşme yaklaşık bir ay),
    • Ortodontik tedavi ile bitim(6-12 ay).

    What is Orthognathic Surgery?

    Orthognathic Surgery is the surgical procedure performed to bring the jaw and tooth positions to the position they should be in adult humans, in cases where the lower jaw and upper jaw are not positioned in a normal position to each other or the teeth do not sit with each other when the mouth is closed.

    Before starting the treatment, the patient’s head radiographs (panoramic, cephalometric, three-dimensional radiographs, etc.) are taken and examined. Then, a detailed consultation (by a maxillofacial surgeon, orthodontist and dentist) is made. Before the treatment, the patient should share all the questions on his / her treatment with their physicians.
